North East Nursery Bucks the National Trend

Despite Ofsted revealing that as of 31st January 2017, 47% of 19,331 childcare establishments inspected had been downgraded since their previous inspection, a local nursery has managed to defy the trend. The nursery has been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted with exceptional systems of work and has been presented with a National Award.

Congratulations are in order for the management and staff of Little Ladybirds Day Nursery at Preston Farm in Stockton. They have been awarded a prestigious certificate of excellence by the UK’s leading Safeguarding and HR Company, Emplaw Solutions.

Emplaw Solutions awarded Little Ladybirds Nursery for their determined drive to provide children with an outstanding nursery experience and their exceptional systems of performance management that ensure each member of staff is supported to deliver the highest-quality teaching experiences for every child.

What really impressed the judging panel was the wide range of successful strategies used by the nursery to ensure parents are fully involved and very well informed about their child’s learning. This is something parents have also welcomed and praised.

The high standard achieved by Little Ladybirds was also recognised by Ofsted who judged the nursery to be Outstanding in every area with exceptional complimentary comments regarding the expert knowledge of staff.

The Nursery is owned by Angus and Lesley Thompson who also own High Bank Nursery in Stapleton, Darlington who were also rated outstanding by Ofsted in September.

When told of the award Lesley said “I am delighted that Emplaw have awarded Little Ladybirds a certificate of distinction, it is a wonderful honour!”
